M172A3 Buffalo CBRNE Personnel Carrier

Description

DESCRIPTION

The M172A3 "Buffalo" CBRNE Personnel Carrier is an Armoured Personnel Carrier designed to support Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear, and High Explosive specialist troops. The M172A3 is designed to monitor and detect CBRNE Threats, and then move in with troops trained to deal with them. Built on the base M172 Chassis, which shares a drive train with the FSRV Cheetah, the A3 variant is specifically suited to CBRNE Operations with an onboard NBC Detection & Weather Monitoring Suite monitoring it's surroundings and positive over pressurisation of the vehicle's interior to prevent contaminated air entering to protect the crew. The Operator Section (Driver & Commander/Gunner) can be sealed off from the Infantry section to allow specialists to exist the vehicle, without the crew needing to equip Hazmat suits. A Crane on the rear allows for the lifting of equipment or debris that is too heavy for any regular soldier, and a remotely operated L97 Mod. 5 GPMG provides for both excellent observational capabilities and adequate firepower to deal with enemy infantry. The M172A3, like the FSRV Cheetah can also be deployed by maritime assets, such as the L-568 LCVP.

I would recommend a separate switch for the driver's hatch. this is due to the fact that if any crew member is dead, you can't use a backup since you would allow the enemy to enter the driver's hatch since the button is connected to the driver's hatch and door between both sections of the tank
