Lore:
A species of small, heavily armoured, filter feeding fish from the Tr'allanga home world's sub-terrain oceans.

Pebble Fish are often found in groups, hiding in large kelp forests; feeding on various tiny microbes, crustaceans, plants, seeds, fungi and other things floating in the water; similar to earth whales.

Pebble Fish get around by pumping sea water through the jets on their body and using their 4 fins to steer in different directions.

Said jets also help the Pebble Fish survive by allowing it to escape predators with a burst of speed; but if this swift escape fails, it has a thick, armoured shell to protect it till the predator loses interest.

But not all predators are stopped by its shell; some are able to easily crush them with powerful jaws; so the Pebble Fish has a green coloration to blend in among the kelp and 4 eyes to help spot anything that may be a danger.

These fish also grow rather quickly; reaching full size and sexual maturity at just a year old.

Speaking of reproduction; Pebble Fish reproduce in a similar manner to Common Climber Fish; but will instead lay their eggs among kelp to hide them.

Fun Fact:
Pebble Fish are often kept in aquariums and other aquatic enclosures to help keep the water clear of excess algae; and are often chosen as beginner pets due to their low maintenance requirements.
