Description
This is a fairly basic diesel shunting locomotive designed to move small quantities of train cars around a rail yard. It has a 6 cylinder (3x3) modular engine, custom fuel tank, track switch system, a personally designed micro-controller to control the brakes and engines for an entire train, a multi-unit control system, a radio, and a map display. There is also a small assortment of personal equipment for the crew of the vehicle. The front and rear coupling system can be controlled from inside the cab of the locomotive.

The brakes are controlled using the orange and red instrument panels in front of the driver's seat at the front of the cab. The Independent Brake controls the brakes of the locomotive and any other locomotives in the consist. The Train Brakes control the brakes on all train cars and have a partial effect on the locomotive brakes. Both brake panels have an emergency brake switch to fully apply/lock the brakes on the entire train. The brakes are set to be on by default and have to be reduced using the arrow keys on the panels.

Starting the vehicle is very simple. Start by turning on the fuel pumps using the purple panel at the rear of the cab. Then turn on the red key switch to start the engine.

The external control system takes into consideration if the locomotive is facing the same direction as the controlling locomotive as well as if it is in front of or behind the controlling locomotive. The "External Control" switch indicates if the locomotive is not the controlling vehicle in the train, while the "Power from Rear" switch indicates that the controlling vehicle is "Behind" the current vehicle. This means that normally data would be passed from the front vehicle along the train to the rear vehicle, but it can be configured to control the train from any position in the consist without issues. There is also a switch to invert the transmitted Reverser position in the event that the current locomotive is not facing the same direction as the controlling locomotive.

The micro-controller uses the following channels to control all vehicles in a consist:

Numbers:
- 1. Throttle Position of controlling vehicle
- 2. Reverser Position of controlling vehicle
- 3. Independent Brake Position of controlling vehicle
- 4. Train Brake Position of controlling vehicle
