HAZMAT Train Box Car

This is a fairly simple box car designed to work with my new locomotives. It has four sets of sliding doors, 5 block cargo rails, lights, heaters, and external electrical connectors to connect to my cargo loading systems. The car is also equipped with my new flipping HAZMAT placard system allowing the car to be used to transport placarded hazardous materials. To use the system simply turn on the system using the panel found at the front of the car. You can cycle through the 10 hazard classes using the primary panel and 4 sub-classes using the secondary panel.

The car is equipped with my external control system for train cars. What this does is determine which direction the "Power" data is coming from and it passes that data along the full length of the train. After the car is coupled to a locomotive or entire train flip the external control switch found at the front of the car. If the powered vehicle is on the other side of the car or away from the from the front of the car activate the reversed vehicle switch. This ensures that all powered vehicles are moving in the same direction regardless of the facing the vehicle itself.
