Description
wMy version of Handley Page's medium bomber HP.52 Hampden.

It's an approximation, not a 1:1 replica.

This bomber was widely used by the British during the first years of WW2 until it was replaced by the four-engine heavies like the Lancaster. It for example took part in the first night raid on Berlin and the 1,000-bomber raid on Cologne.
It has a crew of four and it is armed with 1 fixed forward machinegun operated by the pilot, 1 flexible machinegun in the nose operated by the navigator/bomber, 2 rearwards machineguns in the dorsal (back) position and 1 rearward machinegun in the ventral (belly) position.
It also carries 16 250 lb bombs for a total of a 4,000 lb bomb load.

Alt controls to fly.
W/S: Variable throttle.
S: Ground brakes.
A/D: Ground steering/Yaw.
Up/Down arrow: Pitch.
Left/Right arrow: Roll.
X/Disable steering: Landing gear.
Hold X/Invert steering: Bomb bay doors.
L/Headlights: Landing lights.
Fire action 1/Num 1: Machine gun.
Fire action 2/Num 2: Bombs.*

The other machineguns are controlled from their respective seat** with Alt + Arrow keys or Mouse and Fire action 1/Num 1.

Camera 1: Nose machinegun.
Camera 2: Dorsal machinegun.
Camera 3: Ventral machinegun.
Camera 4: Bomb sight.

* Bombs will drop in sequence and it takes about 4 seconds for all to drop. A green light in the cockpit will inform the pilot when all have been released and it's safe to close the bomb bay doors.

** The ventral gunner is seated upside down due to lack of space and so they are not 100% dependent on a camera for sighting.

Yeah the current public beta is fixing a lot of stuff but so far I don't think MP issues have been dealt with at all (I have only tried it for like an hour in total so...). But it adds real water so that's cool.
But as you say being a single dev project probably means MP issues will take a while to be fixed, if at all. But again fingers crossed. :)

November was the last game update I know a lot of single dev projects take months to update especially ravenfield but he released 1.0 without fixing current problems like lag support and MP

yeah like anything over 1,500 bricks instantly melts most of the time and the wheels collapse on some bigger bombers hopefully they fix it soon.

Yeah the brick count and the clipping necessary to make anytthing that looks reasonably like the real deal AND works sadly makes them unsuitable for MP. I hope he can fix or at least reduce the MP issues somewhat in the future. I can't even use most of my things when playing with only my nephew because they all just vibrate to pieces. I know it's a one-man operation but other games have managed it so fingers crossed. Would be nice to be able to use at least somewhat complex vehicles in MP too. :)

I usually use big bombers in singleplayer mostly because people lagging because of brick rigs "great" multiplayer support I tried to use a B-29 once and it lagged the whole server to like 500 ping

Yeah there are som serious constraints regarding what you can do in the game, and for multiplayer it's even more tricky to get it to work even decently. I'll see if I can can up with something once I consider building it.

ok I was just wondering if you planned it because I know a lot of round glass noses in this game is kinda funky or messed up to a point almost and they have to be used in singleplayer because of lag.

B-29 is on my list but I'm not sure I can properly replicate the very round and very glassy nose in a decent way. I might give it a go sometime, but making hollow things that are round on the inside with thin-ish walls in the game is tricky, so no promises or deadlines but you never know. :)
