HMLS Iron Sky

Howdy folks, I'm back with another Avem Empire airship. This one is His Majesty's Line Ship Iron Sky, a true battleship to lead your fleets to victory. She has a very simple design, but I absolutely love the superstructure and detail I've given her. Iron Sky features six twin turrets, three dorsal (top) and three ventral (bottom), all at the same level (no superfiring). The turret layout is somewhat inspired by early dreadnoughts like the Russian battleship HIRMS Gangut (Sevastopol Class). The superstructure probably looks a bit American, at least for the forward section, but the side rangefinders are definitely German. Not sure quite what I was doing with all these inspirations lol, but I'm quite pleased with the end result and I hope you are too. She is the most detailed unit so far, and I hope to copy over some of that level of detail to my other airships.

She also has twelve single casemates, flanking the upper turrets and six to a side. And that's all. She has some decorational machine guns, but like the early dreadnought she is, she features no AA weapons for fighting heavier than air planes. Give her a Mirror/Airlanta or a Nineveh/Ransbel for an escort lol. Against enemy capital ships and cruisers, though, her guns and armor should prove adequate. She is probably my most armored airship yet, with HA and several meters of metal around the turrets, AI, and engines.
