Description
*Please consult the Known Issues and QA sections before commenting, thanks.*

This mod adds the following units for all of the major Bretonnian factions, respectively:
-Paladins
-Paladin Knights

They are all available through Bretonnia's main Barracks and stable building chain.
You'll also need a tier 2 Bretonnian smith.
They come with five different unit and officer variants and a total of 10 custom shield variants between units and officers.

Ok, presentation over: let's dive into the technical stuff!

*BALANCE*

They are strong units but not super strong so I think that they should be vanilla friendly.
If you think that they should be nerfed or buffed in certain areas let me know: if your feedback Is reasonable I'll make those balance changes.
NOTICE: The units' stats screenshot was taken with the unit size setting set to large, so expect more HP and unit models if you are playing on Ultra.

*COMPATIBILITY*

As far as I know this mod works with pretty much everything that do not mess too much with vanilla units.
I'm playing the game with 100+ different mods and everything is working fine!
The mod is NOT save compatible.
If you want the Bretonnian Paladins in your campaign you'll have to start a new one.

*KNOWN ISSUES*
-Some custom shield symbols will lose detail/and or get deformed when zooming out, It's probably a LOD related problem and I can't fix that, sorry.
-Variable image quality
-Some images may look more washed-out or darker than others

*UPDATES POLICY*

Let me be straight with you...when the mod status change from updated to outdated....if you start to spam in the comment section things like "update pls, OMG UPDATE, can we have an update my good sir?, UpDaTe!1!1!1" and similar stuff....know that https://media.giphy.com/media/e3URFlLQywEPC/giphy.gif


...But jokes aside: please don't do that.
When it becomes necessary, and when I can, I will update my stuff, do not worry.

*QA*
-"Is that Lore Friendly Heraldry?"
No, just random symbols that I found and edited a little bit.
If some of them are similar to official Bretonnian Heraldry It's just a coincidence.
-"Aren't Paladins and Knights different orders? Wouldn't be better to change their name to something else?"
Eh, somewhat agree but Paladins (Cavalry) and Mounted Paladins didn't sound that good either.
-"SFO?"
As a matter of fact I'm officially retired from SFO/Overhaul related mods.
As always: If you already have previous experience in SFO submodding feel free to make an SFO version out of any of my mods that are currently missing one, I will link your submods if you provide me with a link.

Nah, these are normal Paladins.
I like the idea of the Black Priors though, so I might give It a chance in another mod.
I'm not very skilled with custom abilities though, so I'll probably skip that part.

Abilities: Glory in Defeat - Whenever these guys are losing combat they will be buffed with bonus melee attack and damage, bonus leadership and their Vigour will be freeze.
Dirty Fight - They throw one volley of grenades that deal tiny damage but applies Blind on the enemy (debuff similar to Respanse Blind)
Stats: Melee attack average but the Glory in defeat buff can make them killing machines. Defense stats good. Low armor.

Perhaps you could rename the foot paladins as Black Priors. These guys are some sort of Knights that commit crimes killing not just enemy of the realm but also fellow knights and peasants out of madness for blood thanks to years of fighting in every kind of hell. They were banished into exile instead of execution if they are not caught. The Lady offered them one more chance to prove themselves worthy by fighting until they die but not with the title of knights anymore. Thnks to that, they can fight on foot without the shame of dishonor since they don't even have honor anymore.
