D&H Passenger Units

Description
UPDATE 7/3/2022: Updated the pack with the 2 Baldwin RF-16 Sharknoses with custom horns and updated textures. To go with the new inclusions, i have renamed this pack the "D&H Passenger Units" pack. Enjoy!

The Deleware and Hudson first purchased 4 retired PA-1's from the Santa Fe in 1967 for passenger trains on the system such as the Laurentian and the Adrionack. They were rebuilt into ALCO PA-4's and served the D&H well, with their "blue-bonnet" livery. They lasted well into service until 1978 when they were sold to Mexico, with the units surviving into preservation.

As for the RF-16's, they were originally built for the New York Central in 1951 and 1952 respectively. They worked for the NYC until the 1960s when they were sold to the Monongahela Railway and worked until 1971 when they were then sold to the Deleware and Hudson. The pair were used on mixed-traffic work such as passenger and freight work. In 1978, they were sold to the Michigan Northern Railway until both units were stored on the Escanaba and Lake Superior Railroad following seperate mechanical failures. According to the owners president, the locomotives would likely be sold to a museum upon his death. So at the time of this writing, both units futures remain to be mixed.

As for the ALCO PAs, The current status of each of these units go as follows:

- #16: Undergoing restoration at the Museum of the American Railroad into former ATSF colors.
- #17: Preserved at the National Museum of Mexican Railways in Puebla, Mexico. Was painted in a SP Daylight inspired livery.
- #18: Currently at the Oregon Rail Heritage Center as Nickel Plate 190.
- #19: Preserved at the National Museum of Mexican Railways in Puebla, Mexico.

In this pack, you get recreations of the 4 sole D&H PA's that operated in their time on the railroad. Hopefully you enjoy these beautiful ALCO PAs including the sole 2 Baldwin RF-16s #1205 and #1216, all of which are lucky to survive into the 21st century.
