Description
"Conjunction Junction, what's your function?" Today we are at the conjunction of the Yukon and Pelly Rivers in far northwest Canada. In real life, the highway bypasses this area, so it is only accessible by boat or plane. I gave you some customs houses in this version on the west, south, and east sides. The north side has no customs houses.

Here's a little info on the area: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fort_Selkirk

If there is sufficient interest, I might create a version of this map with no customs houses, but starting with a small airstrip and tiny port. Let me know if you would like to see this- and whether I should use mods or keep it vanilla.

Map data is from https://heightmap.skydark.pl/beta/

And this one. :)

I made a new video regarding this map and some others and decided to make a vote for the best map on a monthly basis.

This is the video:

Here people can vote:

Hope you like it. :)

Looks nice, decent resource placement, river provides good shipping options, might use this when they come out with cosmonaut mode

Thanks for featuring this map, Oolykee. You brought up some good points in the video- the angular islands were present in the heightmap, and I considered trying to adjust them, but thought that my adjustments might make things worse, so I left it.
As for the resources, I originally had a vision of this being a difficult map, where the best resources would be on the middle plateau or north border where there are no customs houses. The idea got diluted into something more accessible and easier to play by the time I had finished the map.

If you made the edits in the terrain editor, then you should be able to go, from the main menu: Workshop - Your Items[WIP] - the blue plus button at lower right (create new item).
In that menu, select landscape as the item type, upload a png under 1mb for the preview, then upload a short text file of the description (I just type in random letters for this and change it later when I know what I want to say).
You should now be able to create the workshop item, make sure it is unpublished for now.
Then click on the curved red arrow button to import the terrain. The terrain will import, you can double check everything here, then save and exit to main menu.
Not quite done- go back to your map on the Workshop (WIP) menu, and click the green 'save changes' button. It should upload the map file now.
From there you can use Steam's interface to upload more pictures and edit the description and visibility of the map on the workshop.
Hopefully that helps and I remembered the steps correctly =)

I have started trying to do that. I am on the second iteration so far, here is a link to a picture of it: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2818582506
Most construction materials arrive by boat, and consumables like food/clothing can use the airport. Still needs a lot of work to finish though.

Make a map with small port, small airport and a few houses and a few small warehouses

You mean like adding starting infrastructure and uploading it to the workshop?
I'm fine with that as long as you link back to this original map in the description.
