Description
Introducing the ONRC - ‘Hoplite’ - Transport Rover

This is an update of an older design, you can find it HERE

"The first responder to any planet-based emergencies, the hoplite is the workhorse of the ONRC ground fleet, running supplies from depot to depot, securing new territories and defending the borders from hostile forces. The chassis of the hoplite is derived from old world designs, maintaining the key aspects of the older RCL variant, whilst adding some new features in the process... The generation 2 version allows for modularity depending on the mission profile and requiring less resources, being less heavy, along with a shiny new paint-job to match its new owners. Often seen side by side with Sheriff models, together they provide more than adequate screening and deterrent capabilities in order to maintain ONRC held territories on the mining worlds, from forces that would seek to claim them as their own."

When spawned, the 'Hoplite' features 1 Rocket Turret for weaponry. 2 Medium, and 2 Small Cargo Containers are present, with power storage being in the form of 2 Large and 2 Small Batteries. The hoplite also features a piston lifting system, gyroscopic self righting, and a spare tyre.

The hoplite in stock configuration hold 4 passenger seats on the sides, however can be easily modified to carry more tyres, or turrets such as the autocannons, depending on the creators needs.

I've been meaning to release an updated version of a few of my older builds for a while now, but haven't had the motivation to actually get them set up and published. The only reason I came on was because it would be a shame to not publish given it was pretty much completed anyway.

I'm hoping to make some new ONRC ships in the future, however this will depend on how much time I have, and if I still have the motivation to keep making builds on the steam workshop.

As always, thank you, Omega
