Descrizione
The amount of recycled assets in the Crimson Court is as far as I can tell far greater than that of any other DLC released for Darkest Dungeon. In fact, even some of the mods intended to fix or add content to the Courtyard (Courtyard Plus, for example) have a ton of recycled assets.

My mods in general try to rectify that, even though whether or not that needs to be rectified in the first place is up for debate.

Case in point: The Egg Clusters which spawn around the various dungeons are exactly the same, right down to the description, as the Egg Clusters found naturally in the Courtyard, despite having slightly different mechanics (namely the Gatekeepers and the lack of stress heal). I figured they could use an at least slightly altered skin, which is where this mod comes in.

This mod gives the Infestation-teathered Egg Clusters a more see-through coating than their Courtyard exclusive counterparts, allowing you to see the Gatekeeper gestating inside.

A huge thank you to Kittyintheblack for teaching me the art of making semi-translucent sprites, and to Genlis_Tin for making the animated bubbles.

Note: This mod does not reskin the normal Egg Clusters. It is intended to add variety and replace a blatant recycled asset with a less offensive asset.

For those who have already completed the Crimson Court questline, feel free to use my Eternally High Infestation mod to bring back the Infestation Eggs.

I have it placed above Courtyard Plus, I even tried placing it above your other courtyard plus curio mods.

@Hatsune Marineku are you using Courtyard Plus? Make sure this mod is placed above Courtyard Plus in your mod load order.

I only see the gatekeeper standing there instead of being inside the cocoon, can still interact with the curio though.

@kave of chalices I am having the same issue with the egg appearing unopened on returning to the corridor.

In other words, when you first open it it closes properly. But if the player returns to the area, the curio reverts to its unopened state and cannot be interacted with.

Not sure if there are ways this might particularly factor, but I was on a weald mission that had the wandering Raiju shinobi in the area on load, went down one branch of path that dead-ended and when I turned to go back down the same corridor the contained lad was intact again. I could not interact with it though, and it showed as cleared on the map tiles.

AFAIK the only other thing that might influence is I use creeping mists, but this is an existing curio rather than a new one so that shouldn't matter?

Minor note, but after cracking one of these open if you wind up re-entering the same area it will appear unopened again.
