Description
USE IT FFS!

Don't you love it when bots change from sniper to pistol in close combat just to be completely useless? Well not anymore, This will turn Ellis and Zoey from being always worst, to most effective bots in your team!

This script prevents bots from using secondary weapons until they are out of primary reserve ammo. You could say its a vscript version of the "Survivor Bot Sniper Rifle AI Fix" SM plugin.


Known Issues:
When it prevents bots from changing to secondary, their weapon will appear invisible. However this is a visual only bug and wont affect the gameplay itself.
Fixed thanks to Shadowysn, however there is still slight flicker when the switch happens.

Need to confirm this but I noticed when Ellis is downed with a magnum he does not shoot it, bug?

Can this work in side by side with bot ai improvements and left4bot2?
Ive read some of the discussion on left4bot2 and they recommend that you either
use left4bot2 with this or bot ai improvements and left4bot2
so far this addon kind of breaks how the bots would lead a campaign after the player survivor dies

Thanks for the mod! There is a problem which is that sometime bots won't shoot with their primary weapon during tank fights. Maybe it is because of incompatibility with some AI mods i'm using like Left 4 Bots :steamsad:

see i can make them pick up a free melee no one is using with the admin system idk how to prevent them from dropping it as soon as they see a pistol

just to clarify i i don't want bots to pick up melee i want them to stop picking up pistols when they have a melee. its annoying when you go idle at the start of a round then you find out you have no melee because your bot

You can try putting "sb_max_team_melee_weapons" to above 4. Although i don't see why you would want bots to ever pick up melee.

hey is there a mod that pervents bots from taking pistols over melees?
