Description
Blaze joins the party! Use his variety of weapons and magic to claim victory once more!

SPECIALS:

NSPECIAL: Yo Whip

Swings a yoyo at the ground to pull foes in, press special again to swing again and send them flying!

FSPECIAL: Pentaslash
Dashes around and strikes the foe five times all while moving horizontally

USPECIAL: Where we droppin?

A Spin attack upwards that goes into a glide. you can move left or right while gliding.

DSPECIAL: Command select

The gimmick of this character involves a menu that has five different magic abilities to use. What do they do? That's up to you to find out...

What's in store for Blaze in the future? maybe someday you'll find out...

..or maybe not.

Okay so I only just now discovered that the forward strong is a multi-hit, so redact that previous comment lmfao. Imo it might not hurt to have some kind of visual/audio cue to better let the player know that it's a multi-hit move, since the tips section is ofc just broken online past page 1

Ditto on Fstrong being too weak; even at very high percentages the move doesn't seem to kill at all or send anywhere.

Oh yeah I almost forgot, sometimes the menu graphic "glitches out" a little bit by popping up in normal movement when you cancel DSpec or get hit while surfing it. Not a huge deal but it's awkward.

And by the way, is the magic point system really necessary? While I haven't really looked into the balancing aspect of Blaze for long enough, I get the feeling that these DSpec moves aren't strong enough to warrant a resource system, and Blaze is interesting enough without that IMO.

Yo here's some (i think well-deserved) feedback!

I really like the small details. FStrong mixups into other moves, the annoying but lovely Melee Zelda DTilt, the fact that you can navigate the menu and it will remember your choice so you can have it ready before the action, the strange trajectory of Bolt magic, the fact you can't just recover with FSpecial, all nice features that make Blaze unique in the simplest ways. Also, the detail of the floating sword "lagging" behind his movement is a cool touch.

Now on to the things that bother me... Weird downward kb angles on some moves,most notably Back-Air (what's with early workshop mods and awkward knockback angles anyway?), damage feels too low in some moves, knockback too low on FStrong, unfinished-looking animations on some moves (especially Down Strong and FSpec), these are some things i'd look into a bit more.

All in all, congrats on the (re-)release! This is a fine character and I'm liking him so far.
