This is my Active GPS guided missile V2 5x5 example. It will try to reach the desired coordinates and detonate on impact. All you need to do is to enter the GPS coordinates (waypoint) and launch. If wanted, change the cruise configuration. Such as Cruise altitude, cruise stop range and target altitude. The cruise mode is toggleable and recomended OFF when launching from the air.

This is the Active version of the missile. That means that it activley recieves the target coordinates via radio wich allows for changing the target coordinates after launch. With an Active missile you can target a moving object like an airplane or make it fly along a choosen path.

The 5x5 is usefull for medium-long range targets (1-40 Km). It can be launched from the ground, boats, airplanes, submarines etc. It dosen't have to be used as a missile, it can be used as a bomb, an autopilot (easier with V1) and so much more.

PLEASE READ:
Credit for using any of my creations is greatly appreciated but not necessary for personal use. (non shared creations)

HOW TO:
1: Enter coordinates (X,Y,Z)
2: Configure cruise settings if necessary
3: launch (don't forget the saftey if there is one and it's recomended to point somewhat towards the target)

MISSILE PROGRAMMER:
CRUALT - CRUise ALTitude (the altitude that the missile will be at during its travel towards the target) [usefull for changing the angle of atack and avoiding obsticales such as mountains]

CRUSTRA - CRUse STop RAnge (the range from the target at witch the missile will leave cruise-mode (stop holding altitude) and start going straight for the target) [the recomended range depends on how high the cruise altitude is]

TGTALT - TarGeT ALTitude (the altitude that the missile will try to hit at. By the enterd coordinates) [this should be configured to be at the height of the target]

The missile is likely loosing the radio signal. So put a bigger radio on the missile. This version is and active which means that it uses radio. So connecting the hardpoint won't work. Use the non active version for unlimited range.

When the rocket flies 20 km, it loses the signal from the "target data" and simply crashes into the ground. when I tried to transfer the "target data" from the radio to the hardpoint, the rocket simply lost the signal and crashed into the ground. How can I fix this?

Works very effectively, and nicely customisable. I'm yet to intergrate it into a custom missile but it looks very promising.

First of all, thank you for creating this missile system. It works quite well, and can deliver a large payload at long range.

I have been trying to build a vertical launch version of this for one of my ships (with 2 fin sections). When I tried to remove the front fin section to make it more compact, (I re-connected the composite to the back fins) it won't steer towards the target correctly. I tried re-tuning the PID controllers, but it just oscillated a lot or didn't turn enough. Is it possible to make this setup work?
