Nissan X-TRAIL (T31)

エクストレイル（X-TRAIL）は、日産自動車が2000年から販売するミドルサイズのSUV型の乗用車である。生産は2011年8月に日産から分社化された日産自動車九州が担当している。

ここでは、2008年に発売され、注目を集めたT31型について紹介する。

プラットフォームは日産・Cプラットフォームを使用し、エンジンは2,000ccのMR20DEと2,500ccのQR25DEが設定され、4WDの20Xにはシリーズ唯一となる6MTの設定がある。

なお、ターボ車は平成17年排出ガス規制に適合しないためフルモデルチェンジを機に廃止された。
2008年9月にはルノーと共同開発した2000ccターボのクリーンディーゼルが追加された。

アクティブに使うユーザーに向けた考えから、防水シートなどが全車標準装備された。
4WD仕様のメカニズムは「オールモード4X4-i」と呼ぶシステムを搭載した。これはフルタイム四輪駆動と名称が紛らわしいが、システムとしてはセンターデフを持たない一般的なスタンバイ式四輪駆動となっている。

The X-TRAIL is a middle-sized SUV-type passenger car that Nissan Motor has been selling since 2000. Production is handled by Nissan Motor Kyushu, which was spun off from Nissan Motor in August 2011.

The 4WD specification mechanism is equipped with a system called "All Mode 4X4-i". This is confusingly called full-time four-wheel drive, but it is a general standby four-wheel drive system that does not have a center differential.
