Description
CRN MAC ARTHUR CLASS FRIGATE:

The CRN Mac Arthur Class Frigate is the newest CRN warship to leave the CRN Shipyards in the Vega system. Built for quick speeds, firepower, and support the Mac Arthur class is a versatile and sophisticated design. Built for quick interdiction and fleet support the Mac Arthur features a semi modular design with some of the turrets being built to be replaced with the CRN's custom built Aspis point defense turrets, with an additional 6 missile bays for future homing missile modifications. Built for speed the Mac Arthur can reach blistering speeds within a short time span. Capable of atmospheric flight the Mac Arthur can support ground forces while engaging ship threats. Built without any subgrids the Mac Arthur is relatively cheap. Equipped with a firing script the 4 forward mounted artillery guns on the Mac Arthur can maintain a near constant rate of fire on enemy opponents, making the Mac Arthur that much more deadly.

Lore:

The CRN Mac Arthur is the CRN's new competitive design for a new frigate. Built in 2990 the Mac Arthur is the most sophisticated warship the CRN currently has to offer, named after the old general of earth in the early 20th century the Mac Arthur possesses great combat prowess and agility. This class of frigate was meant to replace the CRN's aging Scipio Africanus class of frigates, which by this point are several hundred years old. Commissioned in 2985 the Mac Arthur began testing trials in 2988, put on a fast track by the CRN, the Mac Arthur eventually passed all of its requirements and testing. Eventually seeing first combat in the CRN's defense of Beta Draconis which was attacked by unknown aggressors. The Mac Arthur played key roles in supporting CRN defense forces and troops on the ground as the unknown aggressors assaulted the planets surface. Providing additional support to convoys resupplying the CRN's 112th and 110th expeditionary forces defending Beta Draconis. During the CRN's counter attack on the unknown aggressors dubbed "Operation Iron Fist" Which aimed to push into the Capella system the Mac Arthur Class supported Archer class destroyers launching missile salvoes at enemy targets before the subsequent military strike on several planets in Capella. Again defending CRN ODT's and Marines in the battle for Blue Ridge as the enemy was pushed to a ridgeline above CRN forces. Supporting Mac Arthur Classes created enough suppressing fire on the enemy positions to enable the CRN to advance its forces on the ridgeline, and subsequently capture Blue Ridge. And as the CRN pushed into a nearby system dubbed "Gideon" the CRN was forced to make a retreat, as Republic forces retreated back to Capella, the Mac Arthur classes provided supporting fire to enable the CRN fleets to evacuate. Furthermore in the CRN's defense of Arcadia, an important Republic Naval asset the Mac Arthur provided additional fire support for the defending forces on Arcadia.

Authors Notes:

The Ship works really well, its fast and maneuverable, I am pretty positive that it has a pretty good hydrogen supply, the interior is a little cramped but you gotta make due with what you've got I guess lol. Im not sure about survival readiness. I will also be making a less survival ready subgridded version with guided missiles and my point defense turrets, which is why there are some empty doors on the side, those are going to be the missile hatches. Overall Im really happy with how this ship turned out, I personally think that it is simply awesome, but you people tell me what you think. https://discord.gg/fnA7Vk8j my discord link for those of you who want to join my server. I should have some more ships coming relativley soon, its been a while since my last upload. Enjoy!!!! :)

This is an absolutely amazing ship! I'm a server admin and would love to include it in a scenario I'm building for my players.

Would you be open to us making the necessary changes so this works on our server? We would need to re-upload it but we would provide full attribution to you as the creator: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2439923690 .

Thanks. The Remote controls are purely decorational, so that part is intentional. And the airlock on the side is also intentional, also helps if your getting boarded because anyone boarding has to go through the ship to get to the bridge.

Nice ship, love double plating, altough your RC's are in the wrong direction, also just put one in.. or put 2nd "off", the red will go nice with thetubes. Also i would sugest a Airlock directly from bridge to outside, instead of going trough the maze of corridors... thumbs up!
