Fring Civ: "For now, but they'll come around.. In the mean time there's a matter of Civs you have allied with who denounced me, you have failed; now it is up to me to deal with them."
If you try to interfere, this becomes a much simpler matter:
"I will invade your allies, I will invade your allied City States, I. WILL. NUKE. YOUR. CAPITAL."
