Description
My take on the Short Stirling I heavy bomber used by the British in the first part of WW2. It was the first four-engine bomber in the service of the RAF.

It's an approximation, not a 1:1 replica.

The Short Stirling was replaced by the Lancaster and the Halifax because of its limited range and size restrictions of the bomb bays which could carry no larger bombs than the 500 lb ones.

It had a crew of 7: pilot, co-pilot, navigator/bomber, flight engineer and three gunners of which the front gunner operated the radio.

It carries 16 500 lb bombs in the main bomb bay and 3 each in its rather unusual bomb bays under the wings for a total of 24 bombs or 12,000 lb. It's a bit heavy with the payload so you need to get it to 150 kph before take-off.

It's also armed with 8 .303 machine guns, 2 in the nose turret, 2 in the dorsal turret and 4 in the rear turret.

Alt controls to fly.
W/S: Variable throttle.
S : Ground brakes.
A/D: Ground steering/Yaw.
Up/Down arrow: Pitch.
Left/Right arrow: Roll.
X/Disable steering: Landing gear and landing lights.
Hold X/Reverse steering: Bomb bay doors.
Fire action 1/Num 1: Release bombs.*
B/Beacon: Fire in engine 1.
K/Hazard lights: Fire in engine 2.
L/Headlights: Fire in Engine 3.
PgUp/PgDn/Auxiliary (with Alt): Fire in engine 4.

Machine gun turrets use Alt.
Arrow keys/Mouse: Move.
Fire action 1/Num 1: Fire.

Camera 1: Bomb sight.
Camera 2: Nose turret.
Camera 3: Dorsal turret.
Camera 4: Rear turret.

*Bombs are released in timed sequence and it takes about 4 seconds to release them all. A green light lights up in the cockpit once the last bomb is away.

I probably won't make the C-130 or C-5 since I prefer sticking to WW2 planes, but I'll make the C-47.

c-47, next if i am looking at this chart right is c-130, but i may be wrong and it could be c-5

Hehe no worries. I'll probably have a crack at the C-47 Skytrain next. Not sure when I'll have time to build it but I'll see what I can do. ;)

B-29 uploaded! :)

Build of B-29 is progressing but it's a very tricky one because of all the round hollow shapes that this game has no real tools for. I also tried to keep the surface in plastic or at least oak to give it a bit of sheen since the original is pure shiny metal but it would weigh over 45,000 kg and fly a bit like a brick so sadly it'll have to be covered with the usual foam to severly reduce weight. I wish the game had a material that was low weight but without the fuzziness of the foam, but it is what it is.

As I predicted it's going to look a bit rough in a lot of places but hopefully it'll be somewhat recognisable and it already flies decently even before tweaking.
I'm going to make the engines now, and even they are a pain since they are not just a tube or a box but an oval, cut-off spool shape with sort of integrated air intakes in the front which presents an added challenge. They may have to be simplified a bit to preserve my sanity.
So wish me luck. If you haven't heard from me in a couple of days send in a rescue party. ;)

I think I can get a B-29 done within a couple of days. It'll be a bit crude in places and especially in the nose (which is just not suitable for the game), and with a lot of clipping parts, but it's the best I can do with my limited skill and patience and the bricks and tools available.
