The no-precursors idea is also a good one. I went ahead and implemented it.
It was a lot more challenging than I expected, both due to how I went about implementing it,, and because the game has additional safety checks to ensure that forebear ruins always spawn on the map. It was an interesting three days of tinkering... :)

I'm working on a pack of extreme system quirks that I plan on releasing soon, once I've got a few more quirks sorted out.
I was wondering if you would mind me including this quirk in that pack, credited to you, as it's an excellent challenge that fits right in among the others.
@Levana Or just disable the people -> bots options on remnants for a completely botless "Butlerian Jyhad" sector :) The mods write themselves!
