The Folding Riot Shield is an optional attachment for the MU-05 Talos Heavy Combat Mech. This attachment can be equipped to provide Talos with a deploy-able frontal shield, protecting sensitive equipment on the front of the mech. This armor attachment is great for dealing with on-foot combatants as it excels at absorbing impacts from small arms fire, even deflecting light autocannon rounds! Featuring the ability to fold on command, the shield can be lowered for full movement of Talos' arms and head.






  • Shield is controlled by the trigger hotkey (space by default) when Talos' main gun is not enabled.
  • Folding action allows the shield to go from complete frontal protection to a stowed away position allowing full maneuverability of Talos' armaments.
  • Spotlights built into to the shield extend the mech's range of light projection. These can be enabled with the "Cycle Spotlights" button in the cockpit.
  • Sub-body armor will protect the mech from small arms fire, allowing the user to keep their camera equipment safe.
  • Plug-and-play technology allows the shield to be easily installed via hardpoints on Talos' chassis, no logic or merging required!

Please note, due to how the shield is attached, it cannot be removed once installed. To remove the shield, the user must reload the mech in the workbench.
It is also worth noting that the shield should be in the upward position for the mech to sit down or use its terrain adaption. Lowering the shield is only for standing and using the primary gun.

I made a Talos attachment that when you click F a minigun slides up from the back on to the shoulder then hold m1 to shoot is there anyway i could send it to you?

an arm blade would actually be a pretty cool attachment, i might consider making this if i get back into SW :)

Chris , can you make a Talos attachment that adds a big blade on the arm that slides out and stabs the enemy BTW the mech is awesome i got the jet-pack and riot shield its great fun to play with ! :steamthumbsup:

For some reason my version isn't synch'ing the lights. It won't cycle them on when I attach the riot shield and then flip the button for light cycling
