C27 "Spartan" Transport Aircraft

The Alenia C27 (C27 in US service) is a medium sized cargo aircraft, bridging the gap between large helicopters and heavier cargo planes such as the C130, with which it has a lot in common, including its engines for parts compatibility. The C27/G222 (the name designation for the aircraft in Italian service) is has been in service with the USAF and Coast Guard since 1990, and continues performing a multitude of roles for many other nations, including Italy (who initially developed the G.222 in the 70s) and Australia (the livery used in this build). The aircraft was designed specifically for its STOL capabilities and its ability to operate from unprepared airfields. The G.222/C27 saw service in the Falklands, Bosnia, and Afghanistan, and continues to be operated by nations all around the world.
