Summary:

Mass ~255 empty; ~535 full
Cost ~$2,750 plus water

At this cost range it could be considered disposable.

2,800 L on board water supply with a pump out for firefighting by hose. Also has a pump in for hooking up to fire hydrants or and a refill pod for using open water sources.

>>>

Built in features:
= Large capacity tanks for 2,800 L
= Pump out with hose attachment
= Pump in with hose attachment
= Refill pod
= Connectors and anchors front and stern
= Internal battery
= Parking brake
= Handhold and push maneuvering
= Size can still fit through a forest

Carried gear:
1 Fire fighting outfit (to stop 95% fire damage)
2 First aid kits (as you still take 5% damage from fires)
2 Hoses (for firefighting and refill at the same time)
1 welder (to repair any damage it might take)
1 Empty outfit (to store what you may have already been wearing)
1 Empty large (to clear hands for hoses)

Discussion:

Electrical connectors at height 2 and 3 to be compatible with different builds. If wanted you can trim which ones you don’t need. Secondary towing method by rope anchors at front and back. Dorsal rope anchor near center of gravity for vertical lifts.

In theory can daisy chain these together for even larger quantities of water.

Wheels are simple coaster style with no steering, power nor suspension. Remember to slow down when driving.

As it has no engine it must be towed by a vehicle for long range transit. When towing glancing hill slope strikes may cause it to roll and those same hills can often be used to get it back onto the wheels. Do consider slowing down when hauling a water filled trailer.

Short range is possible >by pushing< alone. For manual handling there are handholds on the front corners (for pointing) and you can grab the connectors. Pushing off centre may also turn the vehicle.

Built with jump steps for easy climbing up to the mag all. This also can give an elevated position for fire fighting.

Recommend when using to first turn the brakes on.

Battery power is present for independent pumping. The onboard battery can handle pumping the onboard water supply. Extended pumping from a water source, hydrant or open water, is not duration tested. Providing electricity can be done by a front connector, stern connector or the top side cable connector.

Refill pod instructions:

Primary use of the refill pod’s mag all is to stop the refill pod being lost turning transit. Proper storage of refill pod is the electrical cable hooked up and the mag all turned on grabbing the cart. Mag all is also the grab point for handling the refill pod. When in open water use of the mag all on is recommended to avoid fill port accidentally leaving the water.

To use the refill pod:
= park near an open water source
= turn the brakes on
= use the jump steps to jump onto the top
= disconnect its electrical cable so as to not be restricted by the current short length
= grab the mag all with e or q
= Move the refill pod into shallow water
= Optional reconnect the electrical cable so mag all will grip (may need to turn the mag all on)
= Connect a hose from the rear pump in to the hose connection on the refill pod
= Turn the pump in on
= Go to front to monitor water dial

When done filling:
= When full turn pump in to off;
= Store hose
= If mag all is on set to off
= Lift mag all
= Use front jump steps to bring refill pod to storage tray
= Lay down refill pod into tray
= If electrical cable not connected to refill pod connect it now to both pod and cart
= Turn on mag all
= Should hear a “thunk” if mag all has engaged properly
= Check that mag all is engaged before moving cart
(cable connected at both ends, button on, mag all not glowing, likely thunk heard)
