If you're up for growing your village and increasing your population in peace (at the beginning), this would be a decent map for you. If you like a lot of action early and frequently, this is NOT the map or you.
If you make an effort to deforest, you're probably going to be the only one exploring and you'll most likely find the extra benefits before others. You're probably going to be the one to initiate battle as well, so you can make it on your terms.
I was able to get a couple of achievements regarding large number destroys. I was lucky, none of the other villages resigned early; I got to attack all.
If you go into this map with the mindset that it is "zen-mode", then it won't be "boring" the whole time.
Hope this helps. Now get out there an conquer some villages.
I can't pin down what the worst aspect of this map is - the loads of starting space, tons of reachable gold and food at the start, or the completely unequal and unfair distribution of the extra stone and the random useless nonsense such as the longbowmen. Ugh... it makes me want to throw up just thinking about it. It's so sad this map as of recent is making a comeback, along with other piles of filth such as Bamboo Nothing and 'New' Forest Prison.
