AVMT - "Eirene"

Description
Eirene - an Atmospheric Vertical Mining Tender (AVMT) is designed to work in conjunction with Vertical Atmospheric Mining Ships (V.A.M.S.) (See link below for bolland83's amazing V.A.M.S. for which the AVMT was conceived) and drones to load and refine ores on planets with atmosphere.

The concept of operation is a mobile mining platform. Position the AVMT's VAMS over the top of an ore deposit, land (or hover) and lock the AVMT gear with the vessel level to the horizon, and deploy the VAMS. Drilling vertically to the deposit, the VAMS simply does "elevators." Cutting a shaft down to the ore deposit, gathering the desired quarry, and ascending straight back up to its docking connector to unload, repeating as necessary until the deposit is exhausted. While one Engineer is operating the VAMS, two other Engineers can simultaneously operate their respective drones for their respective goals; for example; more mining, salvage, welding, scouting, etc.

Upon unloading ore the AVMT is equipped with two refineries and two assemblers. The ore can be processed on board for storage and transport to a main base, or conversely; used as it's own mobile base as it accommodates a crew of three with all features needed for survival and growth.

FEATURES:

~Large vented and air tight cabin/bridge combination equipped with accommodations for three engineers. Three beds, cryopods, and flight positions. One bathroom, a kitchenette, with warm interior lighting and a vast skylight. Automatic airlock doors set to a timer that closes the doors every 3.5 seconds.

~"Computer room" located below the cabin (accessible from the lower catwalk) that contains a plethora of spare timer blocks, programable blocks and turret controllers in small grid format (attached to advanced rotor with small head) in order to save space. Ready for configuration to suit your Engineering team's needs.

~Ladder access from the ground to the lower catwalk, fully traversable without the use of jetpack.

~Full compliment of lighting for night operations.

~2 refineries and 2 assemblers!

~1 large cargo and hydrogen tank

~6 small large grid cargo containers.

~1 Oxygen tank and O2/H2 Generator

~Lower observation camera controlled by a turret controller

~VAMS Camera to allow helmsman to orient the VAMS directly over the targeted ore deposit.

6 connectors for various purposes -
Connectors:
- 1 Downward facing vertical connector for the Vertical Atmospheric Mining Ship located prominently inside the "well deck."
-2 Drone Connectors on the elevated aft deck.
-1 Connector/Ejector located beneath the drone connectors on the aft deck attached to a conveyor sorter for your convenience. Configure to your specification.
-1 Connector located on the main cargo container.
-1 Connector on the belly to allow the ship to dock with main base or other receptacle

~Two "auxiliary" pistons bellow the rear deck for locking/hauling miscellaneous objects such as rovers.

~Large "well deck" for housing and docking the VAMS; can be retrofitted to accommodate the needs of your team.

~Large antenna for drone operations and an ore detector located under the bridge.

~Auxiliary survival kit located on the "well deck" to enable engineers to resupply vitals and heal any injuries sustained on the job without traversing the airlock.

~Sequenced lighting on the twin booms to help successfully guide VAMS pilot between booms to docking connector.

~Spacious rear deck for docking drones or any other form of ship suited to the Engineers needs, drones not included.

~Multiple button panels throughout the ship to help control local lighting. Several panel stations on the bridge ready for configuration.

~Multiple searchlights located throughout the vessel. May need to be directed to provide light to locations of your choosing. My configurations may not paste with the ship and will certainly not print with the ship. They are named for your convenience.

**NOTES ON SURVIVAL**
If you are in survival and would like to print this ship there are only a few subgrids to concern yourself with, and will need to configure yourself for your own purposes.

6 pistons - landing gear pistons and auxiliary pistons simply require you to add magnetic plates to them.

1 Rotor located in the "Computer Room" below the bridge (accessible via the lower catwalk) you will find a rotor. You'll need to attach a small rotor head, ensure the rotor is locked and simply add whatever timer, programable, or turret controller blocks you need. Adding these blocks to a small rotor head keeps the blocks small without losing functionality while saving space.

1 Rotor/Hinge combo with a camera on the belly between the Ore detector and the Hydrogen tank. This is simply a subgrid controlled by a turret controller located in the "computer room" (see above).

For best experience I highly recommend subscribing to bolland83's Vertical Atmospheric Mining Ship (VAMS - link below). This ship was designed to work in tandem with this highly capable, absolute unit of an atmospheric miner.

But this platform provides a great platform for retrofitting to the needs of the individual team and goal so please don't pigeon hole yourself into using the ship the way I have envisioned; although I will say it is a highly immersive and enjoyable experience. Plus, she flies like a beauty.

I believe you'll enjoy flying Eirene to your next dig site and figuring out ways to incorporate it into your own worlds.

Please leave me any suggestions or comments!

Word of thanks to the creators that inspired this build, please take a look at their wonderful creations.

Please subscribe and use bolland83's AMAZING Vertical Atmospheric Mining Ship for which this entire ship was literally designed around, you'll find the combination of Eirene and bolland83's VAMS a perfect pairing, they were made for each other!;

HUGE Shout out to MadMavn! His "NSS Hauler" from his No Suit Survival (NSS) YouTube series was the major design inspiration for the ship itself. The pedigree for "Eirene" is definitely the "NSS Hauler"

Without them I don't know if I could have conceived this idea on my own and to date is my proudest work on Space Engineers. Thanks to them, I hope you enjoy.
