Description
SBS (SeaBoss Systems) Prototype External Escape Pod Mk.I for FENRIS Class Submarine

A quick prototype escape pod that I built for the FENRIS rear hatch. It utilizes some special logic with the FENRIS to control the opening and closing of the both Interlink hatchs from within the FENRIS or the ESCAPE POD. I built it more as a demonstration on how to link with the Hatches. NOTE: It would work exactly the same with the bottom hatch if it was flipped upside down.

The Escape Pod is positioned such that it is directly over the rear hatch of the FENRIS. Load the FENRIS first then use the selection tool and choose to load a vehicle (the escape pod) for pasting . All you need to do after to connect it is to enter the sub, go to the rear airlock and click the "AFT AIRLOCK - Activate Outer Dock Docking Magnet" toggle button to turn on the magnet (OFF by Default).

Operations...
1. Ensure that the Door Magnet is on within the Rear Airlock to connect the external escape pod.
2. Opening the outer airlock door will open both the FENRIS access door and the Escape Pod door when connected to the magnet.
3. Enter the escape pod via the ladder. NOTE: Because of the mechanics with ladders you will find you will fall off the bottom ladder section as you get within the escape pod. Quickly hit F again to grab the top ladder section and continue to climb. Once inside the escape pod while still on the ladder click the Hatch Door Toggle button to the right to close the access door. This is needed as there is no way to move sideways or backwards in order to clear yourself from the ladder. If you don't you will fall back down to the FENRIS.
4. Move out of the way of the closing door. Optionally enter a seat (1 of 4), turn on the heater, turn on the lights, turn on the beacon locator and with the door closed hit the MAGNET release button to the left of the ladder.
5. Escape Pod will lift off and head for the surface. An indicator will light up identifying when the escape hatch door frame is above sea level but still be cautious in that a wave still could flood the pod.

Would it be easy to convert one/two of the verticale missiles to a escape pod? as a alternate payload?
