It's strange because Osage-Chan (I think that's the name of the character), as seen in Lagtrain, does in fact have hands under her sleeves, and even then in the video, they aren't as large as on the model. They also stop before they can completely shield her hands.

I wonder if edits could be made to add hands as well as cut down on the sleeve length a bit?

It has c_hands but they're only sleeves. The model itself has no hands so I left it that way.
