SAGAMI RAILWAY ED10 Electric locomotiv

The Mowa 1 electric freight cars used to pull freight trains were restored to their original passenger train form, and the ED11 was manufactured by Toyo Denki Seisakusho in 1952 as the successor to the Mowa 1 electric freight cars.
The exterior of the car is a newly manufactured car with a box-shaped deck.
The exterior of the car had a new body with a box-shaped deck, but the bogies and main electric motors were diverted from those of the train.
Four cars were built from ED11 to ED14, each with some differences in appearance, but ED14 has many differences in appearance due to the period of time between production.
The bogies, compressors, motors, and pantographs are parts of Sotetsu Series 3000 (JNR Series 63), and the MT30 main electric motor was used in the war.
The MT30 main electric motor was a prewar standard type, unpowered, and its performance was equivalent to that of older trains.
Rather than being an electric locomotive, it was a train that wore the skin of an electric locomotive.

In its heyday, it transported cement, gravel, and general merchandise, as well as fuel for the U.S. military in Japan.
However, as of September 30, 1998, fuel transportation to the Atsugi base of the U.S. military was suspended, and freight operations ceased.
After that, it was used to transport construction trains and newly manufactured rolling stock to the rail yard.
With the introduction of the Moya 700, all cars were scrapped in 2007.
