I just wanted to see what it would be like if you could L-cancel in rivals with any character in the game.

You press shield 7 frames before you land, when you land it cuts your landing lag in half

On a successful L-Cancel it will play a sound.

If you want to see a noticeable difference an example is Wrastor's Fstrong and Ustrong. (I don't know any workshop character that has a move with super high endlag
