The following mod replaces the default SMG with the Ingram Mac-10 that you see in Counter-Strike: Source.

This mod comes with proper working attachments, working world model, custom HUD icon and it uses Lt. Rocky's port of the original Left 4 Dead SMG animations as base because I think they look nice, with an extra bonus on top.

This is yet again another attempt of mine at practicing 3D modeling, this time I tried modeling the MAC-10 from CS:S in its entirety in order to be able to apply it on Lt. Rocky's port of the original Left 4 Dead SMG anims, I think the model itself turned out nicely but I did face a couple more issues when working with this compared to other mods I've made so far.

When decompiling this weapon the look poses broke and they remained broken after compile, this didn't happen to me when I ported the D3/AU-1 so for this weapon I had to do quite a bit of extra work and I had to port back the look pose animations as well as the reload animation. For this mod I ported the short version of the long unused reload animation that you can sometimes trigger in the original Left 4 Dead.

As well as this I wanted to get creative and attempt to animate the bolt correctly (or how it should be irl), so I watched literally one Youtube video on how a MAC-10 operates, thought I got the gist of it and replicated it in this mod, so now the bolt moves forward then backwards when firing and it stays in place after being reloaded, I am by no means a gun expert and all I used as reference was the one Youtube video so hopefully I did it correctly, if not then I think the mod is fine as is and I think I'll leave it like so.

I also edited some of the animations like the deploy animation to remove the thumb movement, and I also had to edit the reload animation a bit so that the player visibly grabs onto and pulls the bolt, as without any of these edits the player wouldn't reach the bolt when reloading. In the end I'm very happy with the final result and I think it's worth uploading into the workshop, hopefully you think the same too.

If you'd rather see these animations on the default SMG / Silenced SMG then this mod and this mod by Zero and Xenecrite should be what you're looking for. I should note that this mod does NOT use any of the work by these fellas, but they are still add-ons I'd recommend.

As mentioned at the top of this workshop page the sounds shown in the showcase video ARE NOT PACKED IN THIS RELEASE BY DEFAULT AND INSTEAD ARE PACKED SEPARATELY to allow people to mix and match whatever sounds they'd like to have with this release. (Click the big white sentence to download the sound add-on, same link as the one posted at the very top.)

Known bugs:
  • The worldmodel has a bit of clipping when you reload (the door on the ejection port clips through the back of the gun), I left this like this on purpose to be able to have the model animate correctly when firing, it's not very easy to notice when you play anyway.
  • For some reason the extend hand animations stay in place even though they appear to be properly animated in Model Viewer, I have no idea what could be causing this.
  • The leather strap on the first person model has no jigglebones, this is intentional.
  • If you notice any more bugs please let me know!

Credits:
  • Valve -- Original models, animations and textures used
  • Lt. Rocky -- Porting every animation this mod uses asides from the reload animation, I also used the files from his decompiled SMG as a base to make this work so most of the work you see here was possible thanks to him.

If you notice, when you reload a Counter-Strike Source Mac-10, the strap jiggles. So this is inauthentic. Massive L
