Description
Adds topographic indication to the minimap and reduces the impassable terrain bordering to the map boundaries.

Know that the bounds indication for the generated map tiles is only of the barriers located on the same tile. There is the possibility of overlapping barriers from adjacent tiles making areas that appear open on the map not actually be so.



the mod does add tile maps from other tile sets to one another to increase diversity in generated maps, including campaign tiles. This may result in oddities with tiles not fully compatible with the terrain set that uses them.
if you encounter any breaking issues with incompatible tiles please report them to me so i can look into it.

Unfortunately maps aren't loading in correctly for me. The rim of the map doesn't load in at all, just darkness. I hope that the author fixes this as I thought this was a great idea!

Rarely, a vonBiome comprehensive terraforming will so drastically layer on top of the underlying topology that the topomap is misleading. IME, this is very infrequent and comes with various hovering terrain-on-terrain, buried towers, buried turrets, surface gaps etc. Feels more like a vonBiomes nastiness. In most cases where that vonBiomes mess happens, the topomap is still a valued addition and not misleading. In such cases, I'm just glad walking under the hills through a surface gap doesn't cause play-halting bugs; and not fun when a coyote exploration mission zone is under the vonBiome-added hill, ugh.

Yes yes, the city/town complexes are in black square flat regions in the topomap. Seems like sensible way to build a city circa the 3rd millennium.

Playing another 40h since my original comment in Jan, I still find this mod to be great addition, with no serious contraindications to using it with vonBiome stuff. Bias: I'm grateful for modders and not expecting perfection.

Hey, I just came across this because I scan the "recently updated" list from time to time.

Wow, it's a great improvement! The maps make more sense now and look less like a bolt-on from an intern! Like now some proper maps that even the IS could have in their cockpits.

No problems with my ~decently mod'd MW5 and only light mod.json edit for load order (mainly didn't want vonB stepping on it).

Anyway, much appreciation K'Braid.
