A road car coupé version of the 156 Mk.II 'Green Swan'.

The Cygnet features seats for two, gull wings, retractable headlights, as well as the Green Swan's iconic 'flapping tail'.

Originally built as a concept aerodynamic body on a truck frame, the 156 developed from a roadster, to race car, and now a sport coupé with the Mark III. Its sleek lines now flow above its occupants, offering an enclosed space and better comfort, complemented by stylish gull-wing doors. It retains the 'flapping tail' of the Mk.II, designed to improve handling and downforce at high speeds. While slightly less powerful than the Mk.II, as a road car, the Mk.III's engine is still enough for a rather fast cruise. The Mk.III also retains mudflaps, originally made for a Mk.II rally car conversion.
