Tim Woods

Tim Woods wrestled for multiple NWA territories and the AWA during his career, sometimes working as the masked Mr. Wrestling. Woods worked for the AWA without a mask during the 70's.

In 1975, Woods was involved in a plane crash that included fellow wrestlers Ric Flair, Johnny Valentine, and Bob Bruggers. Woods gave his real name (George Burrell Woodin) at the hospital instead of his ring name to preserve kayfabe and wrestled a match in obvious, severe pain a few weeks later to keep the public from knowing that he had been traveling with Flair and Valentine, two heels that the babyface Woods had been feuding with.
