Sakuya's Hot Wheels 1970 Ferrari 512M

Description
Birthday upload!

"The 512 M (the M stands for modified) is a direct descendant of the 512 S. As a result of race experience, Ferrari’s engineers brought in more powerful rear disc brakes and new suspension. The lighter, more powerful engine was also given new, higher efficiency cylinder heads while retaining the 512 S’s four valve per cylinder architecture.
The bodywork was redesigned to make it lower and more aerodynamic. After its 1970 debut on the Zeltweg circuit, the 512 M took part in the Manufacturers’ World Championship in 1971." - Ferrari.com

The reason behind this upload is not just for my birthday, but also as a celebration to what I've become as a car enthusiast, and what originally started that journey.

This very Hot Wheels model, given to me in 2005, was the first model car I had ever recieved, and is my favourite out of all the ones I own. This model is very special to me, and I thought I'd give it a little more love by building it to its exact specifications in Brick Rigs. That is the reason there's nothing covering the engine. The back hatch/engine cover was able to open and close, much like the Ferrari F40 models Hot Wheels produced. Sadly, it broke off after I dropped it. The yellow paint and thin blue stripes on the sides are in memory of the original design of the model.

I just wish the back hadn't broken off.

Enjoy!

Try the Hotwheels Fandom Wiki. I use that for all my Hotwheels related things. I even check it daily so I know what new models are coming up so I can hunt them down at the stores in my area.

If I can find photos of one with the back end, I'll copy the livery of it.

A fellow Hot Wheels enthusiast!

Also, any chances of us getting the one with the back?
