LADIES AND GENTLEMEN! It is time to go to the future of transportation! this is the beginning of a new era where we are no longer dependent on horses or walking for our trips! With the invention of the automobile, we can carry ourselves with machines and horse-less cars!

(TROUBLESHOOTING AT THE END)

This covers the very beginning of automotive history:

first 2 are the "Genesis" ( Benz Patent Motorwagen) and the "Pioneer" ( Dailmer Motor Carriage)

after that, rich investers would have concidered the car as a possible business venture, therefore for 1885 i did the "Venture" (basically a longer Dailmer motor carriage with a soft top)

for 1890 i did a car inspired by the five wheel Madelvic elecrtic, which look like a car for vampires, so I called it the "Transilvanian"

As a bonus, I also did a body inspired by the "Fardier de Cugnot" developed between the mid 1760's and the early 1770's ( I called it the "Prehistoric" and we could say this version is the "Fardier de Gizmo" ;3 )

TOUBLESHOOTING:

" My steering break in BeamNG!"

Yes, cars with uncommon chassis sizes or unusually large wheel diameter do that sometime, you can fix it in 1 of 3 way:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xtA7Ow18n5Y
TLDR:
1- use smaller wheel and/or more front offset ( but that might ruin the style)
2- edit the BeamNG filessee video above
3- a bit of both 1 and 2

"My steering input is inverted compared to other cars in beamNG"

see youtube video above to invert steering

"suspension break upon loading in BeamNG"

cars with uncommon chassis sizes or unusually large wheel diameter do that sometime, Use stronger suspention, cars of this era didn't have anything else then leaf spring anyway

"I cannot add more offset on the wheels! there is no fenders to stretch!"

Yes, there is, but it's invisible to help with the car's style. To stretch them, try to click+drag in the air next to the car, if you do that well, you should see a trim piece behind the wheels stretch too, then the game will let you add more offset.

"the car is shaking a lot when driven at very low speed"

Automation tires cannot be changed, they are hard-coded in the game, they are not made to be stretched into large cart wheels, when we do, the geometry of the 3d mesh grows until the polygon around the tire are large enough to be noticable flat spots and the car start to feel like you are driving with stop-signs for wheels, this cannot be corrected :/

"Whenever i put a fixture on the car it makes ugly holes"

The texture used to make the body transparent when using fixtures that go down in the body is controlled by a set of 3d information called "UVs" these have to be made in a certain way for automation to work well, but these restrictions are only ok with simple shapes (normal cars like a corolla body), for strange/complex shapes like these cars have, the UVs inevitably get stretched badly, making the holes for the fixtures really bad. I did my best, trust me! Luckily, most of my prewar fixtures dont need a hole at all!

sure it sacrafices load capacity but its perfect for high riding vehicles
BallinAndCantGetUp 18 Nov, 2022 @ 3:48am
it depends on suspension your using for example solid axle breaks really easy where double wishbone doesn't break

btw Gizmo_Props i watched that video on how to fix suspension collapse and i figured out a simple way
