Easy Concrete

Description

Adds concrete as a building material and changes concrete floors and paved tiles to cost concrete instead of purely steel. Stuff made out of concrete has the same strength as out of uranium, which is 2.5 times stronger than steel.

You can make Concrete Mix at stonecutter's table for any 3 stone chunks and 5 steel to produce 25. Alternatively, you can use 70 bricks instead of chunks, which also takes a bit more work at the bench.

Not recommended to be used alongside other mods that add concrete. This was created as a lightweight alternative and mostly for personal use.

Is this compatible with CE or other mods?
It just adds a new material to the game, there shouldn't be any issues.

Is this mod safe to add into an existing playthrough?
There shouldn't be any issues adding this to an existing playthrough, however if you remove the mod while having stuff made out of concrete inside your colony, it will disappear.

I can't seem to create a bill for the bricks to concrete recipe. Both recipes seem to exist, but only the chunks recipe gets shown in the stone cutter for me. Does anyone else have this issue?

Mod updated - concrete mix can now also be made using bricks instead of chunks, though this is less effective.

I like the incresed cost in time and colonists because everything else you can build with it usually has higher hitpoints, therefore compensating for it

Overall this makes it way more expensive

Not only the colonist you have to designate but also the time you have to spend producing it

After you used up all chunks on the map, you have to actively mine or drill for them. Since the map is also limited the only viable solution is a deep drill. So in order to actively be able to build concrete floors (The simplest and cheapest floor in the game) you have to now have 2 colonist each working on a deep drill (1 for steel and one for chunks) and a third colonist for actually producing concrete. If you compare this to 1 Colonist mining steel or drilling for it, it makes it way more expensive especially in late game colonies.
