Description

At a time of great upheaval across the world, one man saw an opportunity to turn one of the most remote corners of the Republic of China into his personal fiefdom. Quickly seizing power, Sheng Shicai ruled Xinjiang through canny diplomacy - playing neighbours across one another, and frequently switching sides for his own benefit. Xinjiang operated autonomously for decades, being supported by both White and Red Russians, until eventually being brought to heel once more.
