My ugly hack/kludge/workaround for using volatile/O2 fuel is to use (approx) 4 x inline tanks for buffer capacity on the fuel mix line and simply pre-ignite the fuel mix. The overshoot now happens in the buffer rather than the furnace. Caveats: if the incoming fuel volatile and o2 pressures are high, the overshoot will be substantial (and potentially explosive). The furnace will ingest relatively litte unburnt fuel and has a lot less trouble trying to stabilize.

I've contemplated using a filtration unit and buffer tank to ensure the unburned fuel mix never makes it to the furnace. I have not found it necessary.

I was told on the Stationeers discord that Volatile/O2 mix fuel burns painfully slowly now and was almost certainly causing the overshoots I was seeing with this setup. Apparently Volatile/N2O burns quickly enough that this approach might still work. I was told that the devs wanted to encourage people to go to the trouble of making/using superfuel.

Personally, I went back to pre-burning the fuel into a hot tank, kind of like the original version of this did years ago with the ignition controller script. I was contemplating using a filtration unit to prevent fuel making it into the hot tank and furnace but never got around to it.

man i'm having issue with this now. if someone knows how it works please let me know. (i'm not even joking :P)

In case anyone is struggling with this: I believe the script is affected by balance changes. Fuel burns annoyingly slowly now. I was having trouble with the script ingesting fuel and overshooting because of the time it takes for the fuel to complete its burning. When running on volatile/o2 fuel, it wasted a horrendous amount of gas as it overshot/undershot and the library script moved the target. It was even regularly dumping unburned fuel in the waste output.

The solution for me was to go back to pre-burning the fuel into a hot tank. When the script uses inert hot gas instead of fuel it it no longer suffers from the minutes-long fuel burn. It became super reliable for me after that.

Its the same problem withe Stellite. The oven is on 12 Mpa and he reduse the Pressure to 6 MPa. Why? For Stelite i use 10 MPa or more. Then after a few Minutes my pipe on the 3 Pumps bursts. Why? What is my error? I dont find my error… I us the new tutorial from Fellpower and build exact the same…

either your "hot" supply isn't hot enough, your furnace isn't insulated, or you got an installation error :)

i'm guessing the first one

Hi after a long time i started playing stationeers again and i always used your 3 pupum furnace, fuel mixer, and library v4.. the furnace works fine but i ran into a problem with the Stellite furnace not wanting to pressurize and heat up to the desired temperature. otherwise everything works fine. Could you do an update please
