Description
Passenger steamer ‘Gwynedd’

Designed by one of the greatest engineer’s of the time, the Gwynedd (pronounced gwin-eth) was the first steamer designed with an iron hull and swapping paddle wheels for a propeller, making her an instant success both in her speed and onboard luxuries. While she’s outclassed nowadays, she still marks an important milestone in naval engineering.

Specifications
14 knot top speed
Roughly 380km range at top speed (range decreases at lower speeds)
Length – 56.5m
Width – 10.25m
Depth – 4.5m
Capacity for 15 crew, 42 steerage and 24 saloon class passengers

Features
Decorated interior with lavish saloon class rooms and ‘basic’ steerage quarters
Simulated gear and cog steam driven engine
Fully stocked equipment rooms
4 electric life-boats
2 scripted sink modes
2 helms
Heaters for arctic cruises
Working anchors
GPS autopilot

To start
Head into the ship and on promenade deck find door for engine hall next to galley
Head down the ladder to the boilers
Turn the keys on the boilers to light them
Once steam pressure has risen, you're good to go

To sink
Head to the captain’s cabin at the rear of the ship on promenade deck
Behind their wardrobe find the keypad
Choose a sink mode
1
Turn up the wind and sail head first into waves, eventually she’ll sink
2
Begin the sink instantly

Notes
Being a rather tall and flat sided vessel, taking waves to the broadside is not advised

Inspired by SS Great Britain (1845)
