Description
SCP-093 - Object from the Red Sea

Object No.: SCP-093

Object Class: Euclid

Special conditions of detention: A description of the conditions for conducting experiments is found in document SCP-093-T1. SCP-093 must constantly rest on a mirror and be under video surveillance. Access to the storage of SCP-093 should be granted only if the conditions of working with the object and conducting video surveillance are fully observed. All attempts to use SCP-093 outside the scope of approved experiments will be strictly suppressed, up to elimination.

Description: SCP-093 is a disk of mostly red color, carved from a layered stone resembling cinnabar. The entire surface of the object is decorated with carvings in the form of circular ornaments and unknown symbols. The thread depth is approximately 5 millimeters, in some cases - 10-15 millimeters. The diameter of the object is 76.2 millimeters, the object is conveniently placed in almost any palm and does not rub the skin. When taken in hand, SCP-093 changes color. The coloration of SCP-093 is currently being analyzed to determine the relationship. A popular theory is that changes in color depend on the regrets experienced by the holder of SCP-093.

If SCP-093 is removed from the mirror, but not taken in hand, the object independently chooses the direction to the nearest mirror surface. It is noted that SCP-093 tries to roll in a circle of the maximum possible diameter, while gaining phenomenal speed. It is unknown exactly how SCP-093 is gaining speed. If there is an obstacle between SCP-093 and the nearest mirror surface, SCP-093 breaks through it, gaining sufficient kinetic energy, and rolls on. Despite the tremendous speed of the collision, neither the mirror nor SCP-093 suffer from contact.

Notes: There is no information about how exactly the object was discovered and how it ended up in the maintenance of the Foundation. See SCP-093-OD. Since there are no records justifying the need for such conditions of detention, a study has been launched to find out why mirrors are needed for the maintenance of SCP-093. The results of SCP-093-T1 led to the discovery that SCP-093 holders can pass through mirrors. The study of SCP-093-T2 aims to find out where the holders get to in this case.

Source documentation of SCP-093
Object No.: SCP-093

Object Class: Euclid

Special conditions of detention: The object SCP-093 must be permanently located on a mirror with a silver base, located on a pedestal measuring 0.3 by 0.23 meters and a height of at least 1.22 meters in storage. The object should not be placed in vaults larger than 3.66 by 3.05 meters (12 by 10 feet) or placed on pedestals made of mahogany, cherry, pine or aluminum above or below the first storage level. The object is safe, but requires careful handling. The experiments carried out and the results concerning the conditions of detention are found in section B:35-1 of the attached report.

Description: The object was found on the shore of the Red Sea on January 30, 1968, emitted a low hiss and glowed dimly blue. At the moment, the color of the object has become red-orange, and the buzzing of various loudness appears only in the presence of female researchers, aged from 34 to 41 years. The object took the blue color again for 54 minutes 34 seconds at 1:23 on April 26, 1986, which coincided with the discovery of the corpse 194-9834 in the Research Center.

The relationship between 194-9834 and SCP-093 has not been fully investigated, the effect of prolonged interaction with 093 has not been clarified, apart from occasional reports of a feeling of serenity, and in one case with 242-0049 - bouts of depression, loss of balance and thoughts of suicide. The manifestations of these feelings, according to reports, lasted no more than 11 days. The object seems to react to the presence of 242-0056 - it turns light purple for no more than 2 minutes 9 seconds, according to a report dated March 12, 1993. The effects of this reaction are unknown.

Notes: The origin of 093 is unknown, the documents on the capture of 093 were destroyed by a fire at the Research Center on December 9, 1989. Reports on the feelings of researchers who took 093 in their hands contradict themselves since April 19, 1995.

SCP-093-T1: Experiments with conditions of detention
Experiments were conducted on the compatibility of SCP-093 with various conditions of detention, in order to assess the suitability and possibility of introducing such conditions. First, a new type of mirror was tested:

A mirror bought in a household goods store with a regular amalgam and a brass frame: SCP-093 lies motionless on the surface of the mirror. This test established the absence of the need for expensive silver mirrors on wooden pedestals.

Normal table: SCP-093 stands on an edge and begins to roll along the table in one direction, makes a sharp U-turn and rolls back, rolling along an oval path until a mirror appears nearby. After the appearance of the mirror, SCP-093 rolls towards it and lies flat in the center of the mirror. It has been observed that the grainy surface of SCP-093 does not scratch the mirror when moving on its surface.

Two mirrors at different ends of an ordinary table: SCP-093 rolls towards the nearest mirror, regardless of its orientation. The object does not take into account the differences between different types of mirrors and always chooses the mirror that is closer.

A person carries a mirror in a circle: SCP-093 follows the mirror, reaching a maximum speed of ██████. Regardless of speed, neither the mirror nor SCP-093 are damaged.

A person puts SCP-093 on a mirror with his hand: This experiment was conducted accidentally when one researcher pushed another during an argument about paying a lunch bill. As a result of this behavior, it was determined that a person holding SCP-093 and touching a mirror with it can pass inside the mirror.

Note: Experiments with the conditions of detention were stopped after it turned out that only one mirror was enough to keep SCP-093 at rest. Experiments on the interaction of people holding SCP-093 have been approved by the doctor.

SCP-093-T2: Experiments with a mirror
Experimental conditions: Researchers working with SCP-093 must wear a Class 3 safety belt attached to a winch with a cable length of 300 meters. If necessary, the length of the cable can be increased. High-quality carbines designed for a load of up to two hundred (200) kilograms should be used.

Researchers should be given a standard hiking kit consisting of the following components:

1 (one) wrist-mounted flashlight designed for 3 (three) hours of continuous operation and additional batteries for another 6 (six) hours of operation;
4 (four) 0.5 l water flasks;
4 (four) dry soldering of any type and 2 (two) tiles of kozinaks (possible with chocolate);
1 (one) loaded Beretta service pistol and 24 (twenty-four) live ammunition. The weapon is not issued until the researcher has penetrated completely into the mirror, which should be verified separately. This item should be picked up immediately upon the researcher's return, and he should be notified immediately after entering the mirror.
1 (one) standard knife for field work. The researcher should not be notified of the presence of an object in the set, he must discover the knife himself.

This contraption requires the following mods:
- Accurate Resize & Position
- Detailed Mobile Task Forces
