Influence Ethics (Selectable Ethic)

Description

Espionage Operation: Influence Ethics (Selectable Ethic)
This is a branch of the Espionage Operation: Influence Ethics mod created by joseph_anthony_king.

What's Different
What's different about this branch is that it is now possible to select which (of any) ethic you wish to push a target empire towards.

As you don't necessarily need to have the ethics you are pushing another empire towards, this makes it possible for gestalt empires to use this operation as well (though you still can't use this operation on gestalt empires).

I've also made some changes to the event text, just to add a bit of flavour.

How to Use
From the Operations list, select "Propaganda Campaign: ..." and one of the four ethics axises (Xenophobia, Authority, Militarism, Spirtuality) that you wish to influence.

When the operation has concluded, you'll be able to choose which side of the axis you wish to push the empire towards (e.g. Xenophobia or Xenophilia, Authoritarian or Egalitarian, etc.).

Select which side you wish to promote of the two options, and the target empire will receive a modifier that gives a 70% attraction mulitplier to your chosen ethic, and a -70% multiplier to the opposite ethic. All other ethics will have a -10% multiplier.

Important!
Do not check "Commence When Ready", as this will randomly select one of the two ethics options for you once the operation has concluded!

Requirements
  • This is classified as a manipulation category type operation
  • Costs 3600 energy
  • Upkeep 12 energy
  • Operational difficulty of 10
  • Effects last five years

This does work in 3.14 but doesn't really seem to have any effect.
Mod that this was forked from is updated though.

@Patchezs Is this a mod that allows you to pick what ethics you want to influence with, with primitives?

With this mod, I've found a rather interestting game glitch: An ethic can become so attractive, that an (usually AI) empire will end up with only a single faction, which prevents any kind of ethics selection for that empire (appart fanatic that one ethic).

I'm not sure how this comes about. If the effect of several sequential spy actions can stack, I may just have overdone it a bit with spiritualist ethics attraction.

@fish: Woof, that's a lot of extra ethics to add. I'm not sure if I'd have the time to write a separate compatibility mod but if I do I'll give it a try.

Can this be compatiable with Ethics and Civics Classic 3.4
