Description
My first sub :D

Summary
The Rubedo is a vessel focused on enabling a small crew to take on the dangers of the deep. Its advanced automated systems provide quality of life improvements that aim to make its crew more efficient at their roles and prevent various issues before they arise. On top of this it features two souped up 3 round burst coilguns and outstanding turret arcs.

This sub is designed for a small group of friends playing a more serious co-op campaign or a singleplayer captain looking for a more capable vessel to ease the woes of singleplayer. This sub is also 100% vanilla though it isn't designed like a typical vanilla sub. If you like blind spots and intentionally included design faults this sub isn't for you.

Features

Automated Systems

High Power Burst Fire Coilguns
Coilguns modified and wired to shoot a powerful automatic 3 round burst.

Low-Res Turret Centred Radar
An array of lights attached to each turret will light up to indicate the bearing of nearby monsters. Provides accurate bearing for approaching enemies to gunner and allows sniping of large targets beyond visual range up to around 60m.

Enemy Proximity Alert Lights
A lamp on each periscope will switch on when that periscope's gun detects an enemy with its radar.

Light Controller and Reactor Fuel Alert
Located in the battery room, this circuit allows you to change the sub's light colour. The circuit will cause the ships lights to flash orange when the reactor is below 5% fuel.

Captain's Periscope
A periscope in the nav room linked to two cameras with spotlights on the outside of the sub. Switch between cameras with the lever next to the periscope.

Advanced Airlock
A foolproof airlock. When you open either airlock door the other will automatically close if open, preventing flooding. Doors also close automatically when you leave their proximity.

Intruder Alert Lights
Lamps on either side of each door and hatch will light up if there is a monster in the adjacent room.

Reactor Controller

Battery and Capacitor Disconnect Switches
There are switches to disconnect the batteries and/or the capacitors from the grid in the nav and reactor rooms.

Better Autodoors
Autodoors will open and close automatically on player proximity. Automatic opening is disabled when water is detected in an adjacent room.

Lockable Storage Room
The storage room next to medical can be locked with the lever outside its door. Useful for preventing prisoner breakouts and detaining troublesome players.

Other Features

Ergonomic Layout
Sub layout is designed to allow crew to quickly move around and reduce response times and needless running about. Nav room is placed next to gunnery to allow a singleplayer captain to quickly switch to manning the guns when necessary. A charging dock is placed right outside the airlock. Each periscope is right next to its loader and an ammo rack. Crate storage is in the fabricator room. etc.

Excellent Turret Arcs
This sub has no blind spots and every turret has over 180 degrees of rotation. This is supported by a mostly flat hull shape. This may be overpowered for a vanilla campaign.

Ample storage
Sub has 12 crates of storage for cargo. In terms of ammo storage there are 3 ammo box racks and 4 railgun shell racks in the gunnery room. An additional 2 ammo box racks and 2 railgun shell racks are in the storage room next to medical, mainly for more specialised, infrequently used ammo types.

Fabricators
The sub is equipped with a deconstructor, fabricator and medical fabricator.

Compartmentalised Design
Rooms have been kept small to limit flooding where possible.

Easy to Reach Diving Suits
Diving suits are placed so that wherever you are you are never far from one, nor will you have to climb ladders to reach them. With a crew of 4 you'll never struggle to find one. 2 additional suits are in the airlock for convenience.

I like the design! Almost fully one-leveled design, where you won lose time finding corresponding ladder to certain room for vital rooms, like control center,reactor room or fire control. All the constructors and quite spacious arsenal room in the center near both entrances. Really thoughful submarine. And yes, pulse laser probably second best after burst railguns in terms of ammo used/target killed ratio for bots.

Glad you like it!

I was aiming for a "vanilla but more lived in" sort of look with limited decorations to avoid visual clutter. Those small touches are just an efficient way to reinforce the room's function.

Yep, it's a like from me.

Mop bucket in the ballast, and soil bags in the garden area were nice touches.
Exterior design looks fantastic too.
