Description
FOR VERSION 1.2!
It's now fully made of oak and some aluminium instead of mainly foam, some oak and some aluminium and it flies pretty well, thoguh a compromise between flying with and without torpedo had to be made.
Sadly detonators in this game tend to send stuff flying in various directions randomly whe n they release, so to try to prevent a "recurring torpedoes shoot into the prop"I had to very counterintuitively add a breaking thurster to the torpedo the first second. Nothing else I can do until Fluppi physics approaches some sort of consistency.

My version of the Japanese Nakajima B5N "Kate" carrier based torpedo bomber. It's armed with to forward facing machine guns in the wings, one rear facing Lewis type machine gun with rotating pan magazine manned by the radio operator, and one 800 kg type 91 torpedo.
The bomber was seated in the middle, the torpedo is however released by the pilot to facilitate solo-play.
It's an approximation and not a 1:1 replica.

Alt controls to fly.
W/S: Variable throttle and ground brake.*
A/D: Yaw and ground steering.
Up/Down arrow: Pitch.
Left/Right arrow: Roll.
X/Disable steering: Landing gear.
Fire action 1/Num 1: Fire machine guns.
Fire action 2/Num 2: Torpedo.**
Auxiliary/Page Up/Page Dn: Fold wings.

Alt controls for rear machine gun.
Up/Down arrow or Mouse: Aim down/up,
Left/Right arrow or Mouse: Aim left/right.
Fire action 1/Num 1 : Fire machine gun.

Camera 1: Bomb sight.
Camera 2: Rear machine gun.
Camera 3: Torpedo view.

* Be gentle with the brakes until under 80-ish kph.

** Made to work (sort of) in water! To release the torpedo go low (<8 metres) and slow (<250kph). pull up nose a little and release. It usually works?
The torpedo engine starts after 2 seconds and burns for about 60 seconds. It self destructs after 75 seconds.

Have fun!

F4U-4 Corsairs are uploaded. They were thankfully very easy to deal with even woth the bombs and rockets since their super strong engine helps to power thrugh any shenanigans.
Will check Zeros tomorrow. :)

And yeah they look a lot better made of smoothe oak instead of bubbly foam, sadly they get harder to damage with machineguns. :D

I'm taking a break from fixing old planes for the rest of the night after the brutal mangling that was the Kate, but I'll see if I can have a look at the Zero and the Corsair tomorrow if you want. :)

FIX YOUR PHYSICS FLUPPI!!!!!!! Man this was a chore and a half, and it didn't help that I had a version that was working quite well, torpedo and all, and accidentally deleted it after 10+ hours work. 😣
It flies ok with or without torpedo (compromises have to be made), the torpedo works occasionally, which is pretty good for Fluppi's seemingly completely random approach to physics (case in point detonators tha one time release nicely, the next make the torpedo spin like a cheeleader baton, sometimes throws the torpedo into the propeller etc etc etc), at least it's the best I can do.
I bet this game is a psychologic test to see how far you can push people with randomness before they snap and kill all around them.
Another rant over
