Heinkel He 177 w Guided Bombs 1.2 by Uncle

FOR VERSION 1.2!
It's now fully made of oak and some aluminium instead of mainly foam, some oak and some aluminium. It flies decently enough, but rolling is of course an issue.
I also remade the 20mm gun barrels.

My take on theGerman long distance bomber Heinkel 177 Greif (Griffin). This version carries three of the Hs 293 guided rocket propelled bombs instead of regular bombs.
It's an approximation and in no way a 1:1 replica.

I wanted to differentiate the front and aft auto-cannons from the regular machine guns so used the bigger gun. Sadly they take a lot of space in an already small fuselage, so the auto-cannons are a bit wonky clipping through other parts but they work reasonably well. The front facing machine gun in the canopy I moved to the side to get it to work better without clipping issues. The seating arrangement is also a bit off in some instances since Bob is a big not so bendy boy. This version has a crew of seven, I added one operator for the guided bombs just behind the pilot.

Alt controls to fly.
W/S: Variable throttle.
A/D: Ground steering /Yaw.
Up/Down arrow: Pitch.
Left/Right arrow: Roll.
X/Disable steering: Landing gear.

L/Headlights: Fire in engine one.
K/Hazard lights: Fire in engine two.
I can't stop the engines since the plane won't fly with lopsided engines but you get a lot of smoke and some flames (as in orange smoke) for RP purposes.

Front machine gun: controlled from Navigator's seat next to the pilot with Alt+arrow keys or Alt+mouse. Camera 1.
Front auto-cannon in gondola: Controlled from seat in gondola with Alt+arrow keys or Alt+mouse. Fire with Fire action 1/Num 1. Camera 2.
Rear facing machine gun in gondola: Controlled from seat in gondola with Alt+arrow keys or Alt+mouse. Fire with Fire action 2/Num 2. Camera 3.
Remote controlled top twin machinge guns: Controlled from the seat under the cupola with Alt+arrow keys or Alt+mouse. Fire with Fire action 1/Num 1. Camera 4.
Top aft machine gun: Controlled from seat in turret with Alt+arrow keys or Alt+mouse. Fire with Fire action 1/Num 1.
Rear auto-cannon: Controlled from rear seat with Alt+arrow keys or Alt+mouse. Fire with Fire action 1/Num 1. Camera 5.

Guided rocket propelled Hs 293 bombs: Controlled from the seat behind the pilot. Camera 6, 7 and 8 respectively. Fire with Fire action 1/Num 1, Fire action 2/Num 2 and Fire action 3/Num 3. 30 second rocket burn time.
Alt controls to fly.
A/D: Yaw.
Up/Down arrow: Pitch.
Left/Right arrow: Roll.

Note! I had to make the landing gear slightly longer to avoid the centre bomb from almost dragging on the ground, but I still recommend a very flat surface for take off and landing with the bomb.
