On an Oct 24 update of Furnishing, LTS removed power conduit features from their walls citing performance concerns. Should I add them back? Maybe this exacerbates the potential performance problems, and adding them would make it even worse. I don't really know what I'm doing.

never mind. they're back as a toggle option. i've unlisted this mod, anyways. relisted. whatever.

No support will be offered. This is an old and I don't care anymore.



Features and Description

Here's another patch I made for myself. It's a bit hacky, I'm not gonna lie, look at how much effort I put into the Preview none, but it does the job for now.

This adds built in Plumbing/Sewage and Air Conditioning pipes to LTS Furnishing's (Futuristic) Modern and Reinforced walls. If they have built in power conduits, they should have built in pipes too, right? Right? That's futuristic. Well, I wanted it. Maybe you want it too.

I've also increased the steel build cost by 2 to account for the cost of the added pipes. You ain't gettin' them for free. Unless you edit the patch. You can do that. You can have them for free, you just need to face your shame and make the changes yourself.

Place this below both [LTS] Furnishing and Dubs Bad Hygiene in your load order.


Known bug?

When you select an air conditioning item it doesn't show the dark blue overlay/connection lines on the LTS walls. The green plumbing overlay/connection line shows as it should, just not air conditioning. I don't know why. The patch still works, it's just a cosmetic thing. @ me if you know how to fix it.

It miiiiight delete some of your Modern/Reinforced walls if you add it to a game where you've already built some of these walls. I only lost 7 squares of wall throughout my entire map. Dunno why it was only those 7 walls, since I had AC and Sewage pipes in all the other walls too. Just patch them up with dev mode, easy peasy.

You may also get yellow text messages in your error log on startup about multiple conduits on a single tile, or something like that. I don't know. Ignore it. Like I said, hacky, but it functions.

Being unlisted doesn't prevent you from using it. That's why I unlisted it rather than hid it, so people who still had it could keep using it.

I can relist it. I don't care. But I won't offer any support if it causes problems or these old patches are shittily made or whatever. I don't care.

Hey is this mod still unlisted? Even if power's back it's still useful for the plumbing, I give this patch props!

@Littlegrayman It's okay. In the future, a little troubleshooting on your end could have gotten you your answer pretty much right away. Loading this mod after those mods and seeing if the errors persist, for one. Removing this mod from your load order and seeing the errors disappear as expected is another.

Learning how to read XML is quite simple, it's more or less plain text, and from the text of the errors alone one could have deduced that there was no interaction between these mods. Each little advancement in your understanding of even simple XML modding can help you enjoy Rimworld that much more! Find something wrong? Fix it! Don't like how a mod does something? Change it!

@Littlegrayman If you are referring to the errors between lines 658 and 684, those are unrelated to this patch. Per my previous replies, those two mods contain errors in their throne room and Ideobuilding patches that the author of the patch, Kikohi, needs to fix. I see no errors related to this mod.

i can't imagine why as they don't touch any of the same defs. those two patches have a ton of throne room and ideo building patch errors in them to begin with, and will until kikohi fixes them. if you don't provide a log of the errors in question i can't do anything as I don't know to what errors you're referring.
