Sprays For SFM

Description
99.998232652441% game accurate size!

This highly customizable and versatile model, can be used as an easy way of incorporating sprays, images, or crappy green screens, into your projects!

HOW TO CHANGE THE SPRAY'S TEXTURE:
  1. Place your texture in SFM's directory, example:
    SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\SourceFilmmaker\game\tf\materials\sprays\spray.vtf
  2. Right click the spray model, in the Animation Set Editor.
  3. Press "Add Override Materials".
  4. Right click it again and press "Show in Element Viewer/Model".
  5. Unfold "materials", right click "placeholder", press "Add Attribute/string".
  6. Type "$basetexture" into the text box and press "OK".
  7. Type in the location of your spray in the text box next to the "$basetexture" parameter,
    example:
    sprays\spray.vtf

This method is recommended if you want to include multiple sprays in your project, whilst not being too complicated nor pernament.
You can also use a .vmt file for the $basetexture parameter.

HOW TO CHANGE THE SPRAY'S SKINS:
  1. Go into:
    SourceFilmmaker\game\workshop\materials\models\hatmann\spraysforsfm
  2. Place your .vtf files with names matching the desired skin's name (skin06.vtf for the skin06 skin).
  3. Edit the matching .vmt file and switch it's $basetexture value to an appropriate texture name (from skin01.vtf to skin06.vtf for skin06.vmt). This was intentionally done so your download isn't bloated with 12 additional textures.
  4. Right click the spray model, in the Animation Set Editor.
  5. Press "Set Skin", and select the desired skin from the drop-side menu.

This method is recommended for bigger projects, where you want to set up multiple textures once (up to 12 different skins), and switch them on the fly!

ENABLING THE 3D GUIDE:
  1. Right click the spray model, in the Animation Set Editor.
  2. Press "Set Body Groups/guide/guide.smd"

This is an optional tool that helps with locating sprays in the 3D workspace, since the spray is transparent from the back.

The texture must be in the .vtf format!
All textures for games running on the Source Engine, including sprays, must be converted to the Valve Texture File format. To convert images to it, use VTFEdit![gamebanana.com]
