Description
"Genesis does what Nintendon't."

One of the three greatest consoles in my opinion. The other two being the Atari 2600 and the Nintendo Entertainment System.

First released in 1988 in, I believe, only Japan. Later released in the U.S. in 1989 and Europe in 1990. Really took off in the 90's when it was sold for much less then what Nintendo was asking for their consoles. Plus, it had Sonic the Hedgehog, so was there really any question which was better? It would continue to sell till 1997.
