Lt. Rocky & Co.'s Simonov SKS
So here I am presenting a cooler SKS! (With permission from Lt. Rocky)

For the record this is not one of the secret projects if you read that comment on the RE3 Remington 870 workshop page, I'll mention it when it is. Now onto the mod in question!

I never thought about it until I made this but the SKS don't have a lot skins. Actually there's only 3 SKS skins (I am shocketh). The one I remember I was fond of was the M1 Garand one that also featured custom animations. However it has not been updated yet for C_arms like many others addons that I am also fond of.

So I took it upon myself to find a nice SKS skin for NMRIH. The one that grabbed my attention was the SKS uploaded by Lt. Rocky on the L4D2 workshop. However it included a scope, that would've made it more difficult so I made the call and took it out (aswell as the custom sounds and flashlight). I made sure to mention all of these to Lt. Rocky while also asking for permission and fortunately it was okay!

For custom sounds I'd highly recommend Firearm Sound Overhaul by Oxide.

I also gave a bit more effort on the preview, was it necessary? probably not but it was kinda fun doing it!

Also I want to clarify why the credits page might be "unnecessary" filled to some. It's true this doesn't have custom animations, attachments, sounds or even all of the above unlike the original. However it would've felt too disrespectful for me if I didn't include them in the first place. if it confuses for you what this workshop page actually includes. Just read my features list above, I will only mention what it has and never what it doesn't (with the exception of no custom sounds.)

Oh... Now that is a peculiar suggestion. I'm usually the type of person who'd like to have a skin that fits the caliber or the original gun in question. I.e the game has a M16? I'll get an M16 or M4 skin! This is also particularly funny to me since I swore I had seen something similar what you're suggesting, lo and behold in NMRIH workshop I find this:

I'll do it purely for experimenting but I'll do you one better in terms of models. Don't get too hyped however. I am just curious how this one would turn out.

AK-74 for the M16A4 carryhandle because I'm getting sick of using an AKM that only has single Fire mode...

You can do that but I also wanna say we have a lot of options if we disregard c_arms. And privately I have a c_arms updated tigg M16 (I am just in love with thicc A2 handguards).

But give me your suggestion I'll take a look and see for myself.

I agree! We can thank Luchador for the SKS and Lt. Rocky for his L4D2 compile! It still feels odd however that there were literally almost nothing in terms of SKS skins. I glad I could at least contribute one good looking one.
