Amtrak F40PH Pack

Description
Well, to close off the Amtrak stuff for a while, here we got Amtrak's "Magnum Opus", the famed F40PH's in another livery pack.

Amtraks F40PH's are well-known to railfans for there reliability and important history on Amtrak as the most recognizable locomotives to be used on Amtrak's network. First introduced in 1975 to replace the SDP40F, Amtrak had a total of 210 units, and this would lead to other passenger companies, tourist to commuter to get there own F40PHs factory-fresh or second hand. They would serve Amtrak for 27 years before the last F40s were retired in favour of the new Genesis locomotives. Even after they've been phased out, other passenger companies still use F40PHs for passenger trains, from commuter to tourist, business to even freight service, these units will always be an icon in American railroading history.

In this pack, you get F40PHs in Amtrak's Phases 2 through 4. Nothing more, but hopefully you enjoy these fine beauties. As for NPCUs, they will come......eventually.

How can I find the F-Units in some of the pictures?

It's already been long written off of Amtrak's roster. And given Amtrak's long-term plan to modernize its fleet, there wouldn't really be a point to buy back a scrapped F40PH to convert it to an NPCU.

but it would be easy to just make it a npcu and could save money

323 was sold to LTEX around 2003. To my knowledge, the units long gone.

For context on the sad face unit: Amtrak #323 was the unit used on the last Amtrak Pioneer and the crew put on a sad face on the nose of the unit to symbolise the final run.
