Vector Dynamics' Antiques | JP-2 "Firefly" Concept Fighter

Description
"Let us be honest with you: this plane is god awful."

Back when Vector Dynamics were still based in a smoke-stained container garage somewhere in Neo-Detroit, Vector Wayneright, founder of Vector Dynamics, had an ambitious dream: Wayneright wanted a stealth fighter that is jam packed with advanced sensor and electronics, can out-run and out-turn anything, and carry enough weapons to destroy an entire army all by itself. The JP-2 firefly, unfortunately, was not that jet.

Designed in the early 1990s, the JP-2 firefly is the very first Vector Dynamics product that went past the drawing stage. It's what you'd expect from a then-novice aerospace defense contractor made up of three passionate engineering graduates with the wildest dreams and no actual experience. It's crude, terrible to fly and is not that much more advanced than a microwave oven.

Only one JP-2 was ever built and flown: the only authentic model of the firefly was piloted by Vector Wayneright himself during the early stages of the 1st Corporate War, and was subsequently lost when Wayneright got unsurprisingly shot down during the Battle for Fishing Village. Wayneright survived the whole ordeal, but immediately scrapped the JP-2 project afterwards for understandable reasons.

Flight Characteristics
The original data and flight characteristics of the JP-2 has been lost, but considering it uses default gyro and the pitiable amount of control surfaces, you can probably out-turn this thing in a WW1 Biplane.

Armaments
The JP-2 carries 12 horribly-outated "Foxhound" SRAAMs, 6 of them are inside an internal weapons bay. It also comes equipped with a rotary autocannon with 250 rounds of ammo.

Systems
The JP-2's avionics systems are comprised of a wide variety of civilian-grade control circuits and some repurposed parts of a 2077 Samsung-Mitsubishi Smart Fridge. The canopy uses some second-hand computer monitors hooked up to civilian camcorders to act as a primitive "virtual canopy" system, but the resolution and latency is unsurprisingly god-awful.

Due to this vehicle being an outdated antique, you do not need to read our Terms and Conditions, nor do you need to sign our Non-Compete Agreement. In fact, you are welcomed and encouraged by Vector Dynamics to refit and upgrade the JP-2 to modern standards and release it as your own creation, but...why would you even bother??? Just go buy a much more modern Vector Dynamics Jet if you want a flying death machine!
