Hey there!

This mod is a fix of an older Black Hole mod which you can find here:

Huge shout out for the original creators of the planet and the script itself, I only fixed one error to make it work xD. Please check them out too, since many of the major mentions are there.

Since I have found many black hole planets and especially liked this one with the disintegrating ship feature, I gave it a try. However its damage script was broken since it came from 2017. And as such I decided to fix it!

Tested and working with Version 1.201.013

Recommended Settings
Surprise! There are no recommended settings and size since I have made the planet have a dynamic kill zone. This is around 45G of gravitational force. The script changes the dead zone compared to the planet diameter.

@King Matt If someone else has the "Black Hole looks like a moon" problem: It's a known Space Engineers bug. There is only a certain, quite small, number of custom voxel textures the engine can handle. If you use a lot of mod planets with custom textures, the engine will run out of texture space and just overwrite old custom textures with new ones. Solutions: #1 Either use fewer mod planets or #2 make sure to use mainly mod planets that don't have custom textures or #3 put the ones where the custom textures are most important at the end of the mod list, so those textures are loaded last (may make the first mod planets in the list look wrong though).

Hey, I have tested the mod on my own map (with only the mod itself loaded, all default configs, survival) and works as before so either its some other mod causing issues with it or something else, that I cannot tell from here.

Hi there im having an issue where the damage script is causing the health bar to turn fully red with 3 ... at the end and it does not update how much health is gained or lost. If i remove the script it returns to normal but obviously has no damage anymore. Is there a easy fix for this as everything works as it should bar the fully red health bar. cheers

Ah alright, glad to hear its fixed. I haven't happened to check mod compatibility but then again there wasn't much modification other than the actual fix of errors + modding the dynamic range.

Load order was the problem - loading it after all the other planets solved the issue.

My black hole looks like a moon for some reason. I thought it might be because of being 140km but setting it to a normal size didn't seem to help. I have a lot of other modded planets, is it possible they could affect black holes?
